The Steady Child provides two distinct service categories: individual support for families and children, and school-based support for educational institutions.

​

For the individual, The Steady Child can evaluate students from kindergarten through college for Specific Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and other related academic difficulties. Using reliable assessment instruments, we will determine your child's cognitive profile and clarify the links to their academic challenges. We utilize both formal and informal data to create instructional recommendations and accommodations tailored to your child's unique strengths and weaknesses. After a comprehensive evaluation, we will clearly communicate the assessment results to teachers, administrators, and anyone involved in your child's educational journey.​ The evaluation occur in-person or virtually.

Already receiving Special Education or Section 504 services?

The Steady Child can help you better understand what is written on an Individualized Education Plan or a Full and Individual Evaluation. The paperwork can be overwhelming. However, we can make it clear.

If you would like additional help, The Steady Child can plan and organize documents, questions, and goals for an IEP or ARD meeting. We provide a balanced vision for your upcoming meeting.

 

School-based services are available for both private and public schools and differ from our individual client offerings.

For public schools, The Steady Child can provide Independent Educational Evaluations for Specific Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and Other Health Impairments. The Steady Child is also available when public school districts are overwhelmed with too many evaluations, offering contract evaluation services. ​

For private schools, The Steady Child offers a plan to help your school manage students with learning needs. The Steady Child will help you to interpret the IEP and FIE, understand the services and accommodations, train staff, establish goals, and progress monitor.

If additional support is needed, The Steady Child can communicate directly with the parent, providing peace of mind.
